About Caffe Capri Italian Restaurant & Brick Oven Pizza

Caffe’ Capri an Authentic Italian Eatery concept created in 1993 by two friends Ralph Casale and Dominick Micco who shared their love and appreciation for great food of their native Italy.

The adventure started with a Wood Burning Brick Oven built on site by top mason “Gennaro” known in Campania, Italy and around little Italy, New York City as the Maestro of Brick ovens builders.

Our first Pizzaiolo and Pizzaman trainer was Alfonso of Naples whom after Caffe’ Capri wound up working the Wood fired ovens of the famous restaurant “I gemelli” that was located in the World Trade Center in NYC!

The Authentic Pizzas and Focaccias together with the Pasta al dente dishes and home made gelato made Caffe’ Capri an immediate success. It quickly became a favorite place for locals, Italian Americans and Italians visiting from Italy.

During the 1994 World Cup games which were played at the Giants Stadium, Caffe’ Capri was featured in Italy on a RAI TV documentary as of one of the places of where Italians and Soccer fanatics go to eat around the New York City Metropolitan area!

Over the years, Caffe’ Capri has had the pleasure of having many Celebrities and Sports Authorities coming to its restaurant: Roberto Donadoni while playing for the NY Metrostars and Lawrence Frank while coaching the NJ Nets both made Caffe’ Capri one of their favorite restaurants while in New Jersey, enjoying its food and ambiance!

Today, after almost 20 years of existence and still kicking 🙂 Caffe’ Capri is expanding its Kitchen, Menu and Horizon. Expect Some Extraordinary Gourmet Dishes being added to the menu, keeping Caffe’ Capri the forefront restaurant that local restaurants measure up to and try to be!

Buon Appetito!
